Mayor McCheese is an anthropomorphic hamburger distinguished by a mildly antiquated dress style; McCheese is equipped with a mayor pennant and a pair of chain-bound spectacles. Mayor McCheeses instrument of law and order is McDonaldlands vigilant Chief of Police, Big Mac. Lamentably, however, Mayor McCheese was judged to be too similar to H.R. Pufnstuf---and was therefore apparently impeached from his office. McCheese was later relegated to obscurity and peripheral imagery, a fact that would have logically thrown McDonaldland into a period of bedlam and absolute disorder, a realm of chaos in which the likes of the Hamburglar and Captain Crook might operate unfettered.
